Vanguard 340 Home - Office The Vanguard 340 series, comprised of the VG 340E and the VG 342 platforms, is a family of feature-rich, multi-service IP/VPN routers targeted at small to medium size enterprises. With its modular and flexible architecture, the VG 340 router series provides a cost effective e-business platform for enterprise customers, thus reducing their overall Wide Area Networking (WAN) costs. With features such as multi-service voice, video and data integration, high-speed broadband Internet connectivity and a comprehensive security solution, the VG 340 router series is the ideal networking product of choice. The VG 340 router series comprises two versatile models which share the same high performance architecture: the VG 340E and the VG 342. The VG 340E is equipped with a single 10/100 Base-T interface, whereas the VG 342 contains two 10/100 Base-T interfaces. Both models also provide two modular slots that are available to support numerous multi-service applications using a variety of interfaces. The VG 340 router series is also a full-fledged Voice over IP (VoIP) and Voice over Frame Relay (VoFR) gateway, providing enterprise customers with a seamless migration path from existing telephone infrastructure to IP services such as IP telephony.
